The Level 5 Children, Young People, and Families Manager qualification provides advanced training for professionals in leadership roles within services for children, young people, and families. It focuses on strategic management, service development, and policy implementation, equipping learners with the skills needed to oversee and improve programs and services.

This qualification prepares individuals for senior management positions, such as Service Manager or Head of Family Services, by developing their ability to lead teams, manage resources, and implement effective strategies. It ensures that practitioners can drive organisational change, enhance service delivery, and achieve positive outcomes for children and families.

Apprenticeship Breakdown

Coursework: Creation of a portfolio of learning demonstrating learning and development activities with their application in the workplace. Undertakes research and analysis of a workplace project.Evidence of 360° feedback within the portfolio of learning.
End Point Assessment Gateway: Completed portfolio of learning, English and Maths level 2 as a minimum, Completed Workplace Project.
End Point Assessment (Involving 2 Assessment Methods): Simulated Task, Project report & presentation with Q&A, Employer confirms apprentice is consistently working at or above the level of the standard.

Strategic Leadership:

The qualification offers training in strategic management and leadership, focusing on developing and implementing policies and strategies to enhance service delivery.

Service Development:

It includes skills for developing and improving services for children, young people, and families, ensuring they meet high standards and address complex needs effectively.

Resource Management:

The course prepares individuals to manage resources efficiently, including budgeting, staffing, and organisational planning, to support effective service provision.

Senior Management Preparation:

This qualification is designed for those aiming for senior management roles, equipping them with the expertise to lead teams, drive organisational change, and improve outcomes for children and families.
