Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner

The Level 4 Children, Young People, and Families Practitioner qualification provides advanced training for professionals working with children, young people, and their families. It covers critical areas such as safeguarding, holistic support, and strategic planning, equipping learners with the skills needed to address complex issues and support positive outcomes for families.

This qualification prepares individuals for more senior roles in the field, such as Senior Practitioner or Family Support Worker, by developing their ability to manage and coordinate services effectively. It ensures that practitioners can lead and implement comprehensive support strategies, work collaboratively with other professionals, and contribute to improved well-being and development for children and families.

Apprenticeship Breakdown

Coursework: Creation of a portfolio of learning demonstrating learning and development activities with their application in  the workplace.Undertakes research and analysis of a workplace project.Evidence of 360° feedback within the portfolio of learning.
End Point Assessment Gateway: Completed portfolio of learning, English and Maths level 2 as a minimum, Completed Workplace Project.
End Point Assessment (Involving 2 Assessment Methods): Simulated Task, Project report & presentation with Q&A, Employer confirms apprentice is consistently working at or above the level of the standard.

Advanced Support Skills:

The qualification provides in-depth training in supporting children, young people, and families, focusing on safeguarding, holistic care, and addressing complex needs.

Strategic Planning and Coordination:

It includes skills for managing and coordinating services, ensuring effective implementation of support strategies and collaborative work with other professionals.

Senior Role Preparation:

The course prepares individuals for advanced roles in the field, such as Senior Practitioner or Family Support Worker, by enhancing their leadership and organisational abilities.

Comprehensive Service Delivery:

It ensures practitioners are equipped to deliver high-quality, integrated support services, contributing to positive outcomes and improved well-being for children and families.
