Level 3 Early Years Educator

The Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification offers advanced training in early childhood education, with a focus on child development, safeguarding, and promoting children's learning through a variety of activities. It involves in-depth, practical experience in childcare settings, allowing learners to build on their existing knowledge and skills.

This qualification prepares practitioners for senior roles in early years settings, such as Room Leader or Nursery Manager, and ensures they meet the higher regulatory standards required for delivering quality care and education to young children. It also opens pathways to further education and specialised career opportunities in early childhood education.

Apprenticeship Breakdown

Coursework: Creation of a portfolio of learning demonstrating learning and development activities with their application in  the workplace.Undertakes research and analysis of a workplace project.Evidence of 360° feedback within the portfolio of learning.
End Point Assessment Gateway: Completed portfolio of learning, English and Maths level 2 as a minimum, Completed Workplace Project.
End Point Assessment (Involving 2 Assessment Methods): Simulated Task, Project report & presentation with Q&A, Employer confirms apprentice is consistently working at or above the level of the standard.

Advanced Knowledge and Skills:

This qualification provides a deeper understanding of child development, early education practices, and effective strategies for supporting young children's learning and development.

In-Depth Practical Experience:

It includes extensive work-based learning in early years settings, requiring learners to apply advanced techniques in real-world situations and develop strong professional competencies.

Career Advancement:

The Level 3 qualification prepares practitioners for senior roles, such as Room Leader or Nursery Manager, and is often a requirement for leadership positions in early childhood education.
