Apprenticeship Breakdown

Coursework: Creation of a portfolio of learning demonstrating learning and development activities with their application in  the workplace. Undertakes research and analysis of a workplace project.Evidence of 360° feedback within the portfolio of learning.
End Point Assessment Gateway: Completed portfolio of learning, English and Maths level 2 as a minimum, Completed Workplace Project.
End Point Assessment (Involving 2 Assessment Methods): Simulated Task, Project report & presentation with Q&A, Employer confirms apprentice is consistently working at or above the level of the standard.

Foundation in Childcare:

The qualification provides a foundational understanding of early childhood education, covering essential topics like child development, safeguarding, health and safety, and supporting children's learning through play.

Work-Based Learning:

The qualification provides a foundational understanding of early childhood education, covering essential topics like child development, safeguarding, health and safety, and supporting children's learning through play.

Progression Pathways:

The Level 2 qualification serves as a stepping stone for further education and career advancement. Graduates can progress to a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education, which can lead to more advanced roles, such as Room Leader or Nursery Manager.

Regulatory Compliance:

This qualification meets the regulatory requirements set by governing bodies for working in early years settings. It ensures that practitioners have the necessary knowledge and skills to provide safe, effective care and education for young children.
