This role spans across diverse settings like schools, nurseries, and care facilities. These professionals are pivotal in actively engaging with children aged from birth to eight years. They serve as influential practitioners, leading day-to-day operations with expertise in play-based learning, nurturing individual needs, and ensuring inclusive and holistic care. They actively lead and mentor others, overseeing various aspects such as communication, planning, physical activity, and nutrition. They stay updated with industry advancements and play a significant role in developing the learning environment. Typically reporting to the head of the setting, they hold a key responsibility for ensuring quality learning and development within their domain.
The entry requirement for this apprenticeship will be decided by each employer, but may typically be five GCSEs at Grade C or higher.
Coursework:
Creation of a portfolio of learning demonstrating learning and development activities with their application in the workplace.
Undertakes research and analysis of a workplace project.
Evidence of 360° feedback within the portfolio of learning.
End Point Assessment Gateway:
Completed portfolio of learning.
English and Maths level 2 as a minimum.
Completed Workplace Project.
